Ex-library hardcover in pretty shabby condition, but the illustrations are lovely: full-color frontispiece & 4 other full-page ones in pen & ink, + pen-&-ink throughout. Gg remains one of the most celebrated of Grimm translators & illustrators; this was her final book before her death in 1946. A FIRST EDITION, but the Eighth Impression, from 1947, this is an Ex-Lib copy, with usual stamps & markings inside both covers & title page & pulled area inside front cover where card pocket was removed. Otherwise, clean, pages mildly tanned around edges, binding strong & straight, NO other writing, highlighting, or underlining. NO DJ.
