Orig. published in this format in 1922, this is a 1928 edition, identical in all aspects, in 495 pages + a full-color frontispiece & 3 full-color internal illustrations by artist Milo Winter (1888-1956). With deep blue cloth-covered boards, gilt lettering to front & spine, & a brilliantly colored front paper pastedown, this hardcover book is in Good condition: downgraded due to these flaws: wrinkling & slight tearing to bottom inner edges of the last 25 pages from being crushed against a shelf, 2) small holes & fraying to center & top spine from bookstore mouse, 3) back boards show some discolored spots. Otherwise, it is very clean, with a few random smudges. The binding is strong & square. Pages creamy white with very mild tanning, else unmarked. No DJ.
