Aimed at boy & girl scouts, this book is a comprehensive look of a wide variety of crafts, ceremonies, dances, & customs handed down by American Indians. In 418 pages with Index & a glossary of Indian names in rear, illustrated throughout with 30+ photos & 100+ line drawings & diagrams. In addition, the colorful DJ art was created by famous Western artist Frederic Remington. Orig. published in 1928, this is a FIRST EDITION, but a later printing (likely 1950s), with white paper over boards colorfully decorated with the same image as the DJ. Condition of the book is VG: exceptionally clean, mild page tanning, most noticeable around edges; binding strong & straight. Light rubbing to extremities & edgewear, mild corner bumping. The DJ (clipped at bottom, with orig. $5.95 price intact at top of front flap) is downgraded to only Fair due to its having large chips at head of spine, lesser chipping all around, soil, rubbing. Looks nice protected in new mylar. Our photos depict the exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same day shipping if ordered by 2 pm weekdays (PST); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next day.
