A deadly plague threatens a colony on Jupiter, yet the Jovians have no language as humans know it, leaving it up to young language student Bob Wilson & his biochemist father to save the day. For YA readers. A FIRST EDITION, First Printing from 1963, this hardcover book has a decorative library binding that matches the accompanying DJ illustration, drawn by Ezra Jack Keats. Because it is an Ex-Lib copy, both are downgraded to only Good condition. Book is generally clean, binding strong & straight, pages mildly tanned, commensurate with age. both front & back free endpapers have been excised (probably to remove library markings; large black library stamps remain on all outside page edges. One pen number on dedication page. A bit of tape residue on both boards from old DJ. The original DJ is VG, with minimal edgewear, having been protected in library mylar. This has been carefully removed & replaced with new mylar cover. Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same Day Shipping on all orders received by 2 pm Weekdays (Pacific time); Weekends & holidays ship very next business day.
