A First Edition, First Printing from 1956, with appropriate dates & statement, SIGNED by the AUTHOR/ILLUSTRATOR with a personalized inscription on half title page. Hardcover book has bright yellow paper over boards with colorful decoration, which is matched on the accompanying DJ. Book is in VG condition: very clean, with the occasional random smudge. Binding straight & strong, pages white & unmarked, colors bright. The slightly clipped DJ (with orig. $2.25 price intact on front flap) is downgraded to only Fair due to its missing large chunks from spine, lower back cover, smaller chips & heavy rubbing all around, light soil; looks as nice as can be in brand new clear mylar cover.
