This is a FIRST EDITION from 1891, in 607 pages, with numerous maps & illustrations throughout; frontispiece of Sherman, with tissue guard intact, but tearing. Octavo with mustard-colored cloth over boards with black embossed design & lettering to front & spine (which is heavily faded). Condition is Fair: text block is securely stitched, but both hinges are cracked, endpapers split, boards fragile. Pages moderately tanned, heavier around edges, commensurate with age.
