This volume offers nursery rhymes, songs, & poems for preschoolers, translated from the original French by Olive Beaupr Miller, with charming vintage illustrations throughout by Maud & Miska Petersham. Orig. published in 1925, this is the 27th printing from 1948. In 191 pages, French map as endpapers. Hardcover book has blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to front & spine & a colorful front paper pastedown, which is missing a section on the fore edge sign & has a slight stain on the opposite side. Overall condition is VG: very clean, with modest rubbing to extremities & heavier bumping to all corners/both ends of spine.
