True FIRST EDITION, First Edition, from 1927 of this vintage romance, originally (1925) serialized in Cosmopolitan magazine under the title, "The Heart of Juanita." NOT the later Triangle Books reprint, this is Doubleday & Page, with color frontis by Marshall Frantz, replicated in the DJ art. Hardcover book has red cloth-covered boards & gilt lettering & design to front & spine. Condition is VG+: generally quite clean, binding straight & secure but a bit shaky. Pages creamy white with age-appropriate tanning around outer edges, completely unmarked. Mild-moderate edgewear, bumped corners, slight fraying to both ends of spine. The DJ is downgraded to only Good due to heavy rubbing to all extremities & a number of small chips & tears, but no fading & its largely intact, now nicely protected in new mylar cover free!
