Later printing (1967) of the First Edition of this work to feature the illustrations of N.C. Wyeth, originally issued in 1917, with the story itself adapted from the classic tales of Sir Thomas Malory, edited by S. Lanier, in the early 1950s. This edition has medium blue textured cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to spine, a colorful front pastedown, frontispiece, & 13 full-page, full-color, internal illustrations (all intact) by N. C. Wyeth. Condition is VG+: completely clean except for a small stained area to upper fore edge. Binding straight & strong, pages creamy white & unmarked. Extremely mild rubbing to extremities, heaviest at corners & both ends of spine. This copy has its original DJ, which is bright & colorful, but downgraded to only G+ due to edgewear, including minor chips & creases; looks nice protected in new mylar cover. (We are also offering an earlier printing of this book without the DJ for slightly cheaper; please see our listing #019890). Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same day shipping on all orders received by 2 pm Weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day.
