Contains 14 of the most beloved tales from the original Arabian Nights, in 346 pages with a full-color Frontispiece + 7 internal full-color plates by illustrator Harry G. Theaker. Part of a series of "Golden Books" issued by publisher David McKay in the mid-20th century. No date in book, but research places it c. 1950 (former owner's name & date of 1959 in front matter; NO other writing/underlining/highlighting). Hardcover book has deep green cloth-covered boards with colorful front paper pastedown & gilt lettering to spine. Condition is solidly Good: generally clean, with the occasional smudge. Pages creamy white with moderate tanning. Binding secure, but a bit shaken; both hinges intact.; not ex-lib. Flaws: heavy rubbing to extremities, all edges of front pastedown, corners.
