Orig. published in 1898 as a companion volume to "The Golden Age,'' there is no date in the book, but inscription on ffep is dated 1915 so likely a FIRST EDITION, but with the Second State binding (white title block atop the colorful embossed illustration on front). In 228 pages, which have roughly trimmed edges. Condition is Near Fine: exceptionally clean & bright, mildly bumped corners & both ends of spine. Gilt titling to spine & on front cover looks brand new! Pages are creamy white with modest tanning to edges & the rare foxed spot. Binding strong & straight, hinges intact.
