Vintage recipe book compiled by the docents of the Gamble House in Pasadena, California, shortly after it was designated a US National Historic Landmark in 1978. It is considered one of the finest examples of the American Craftsman Movement, designed by renowned architects Greene & Greene. 200 pages, with Index in rear. A First Edition, first printing, from 1979, this spiral-bound softcover has decorative beige paper wrappers with lettering & an architectural design in brown on both covers. Condition is VG-: generally very clean, with random spots/soil to both covers & exterior fore edge. Interior completely clean & unmarked save for an old gift inscription inside front cover. Pages creamy white, binding intact, with color loss on the spirals. with moderate tanning. Binding strong & straight, rubbing to extremities, bumped corners.
