Orig. published in 1931, this is a slightly later printing (1943-B-28 per Farah's ): thinner, darker blue cloth-covered boards with orange silhouette to front/orange silhouette endpapers, in 208 text pages, 25 chapters, glossy frontispiece by artist Russell Tandy. Condition is Poor in a Poor DJ: generally very clean, with random spotting. Former owner's name to front & back endpapers, else unmarked. Binding shaky, both hinges cracked, & frontis & copyright page are completely loose, but present. Poor wartime paper quality (with notice), heavily tanned. The unclipped DJ is barely hanging in there, held together by old cellophane tape, missing most of lower half of spine. Front cover image mostly intact! Nicely protected in new mylar cover Free!
