Orig. published by Grosset & Dunlap, 1947-1952, these are the later (1950s-1960s) Clover Books reprints, now in a glossy picture cover format, with no DJs. Condition is solidly Good: very clean, with darkening to outside page edges. Interior pages heavily tanned around edges, commensurate with age & paper quality. Binding strong & straight, hinges secure, but was cracked at next to last endpaper & reglued . Former owner's name in pen to inside front cover;, else unmarked. Chipping at both ends of spine & clear acetate covering is peeling in places. No DJ as issued (never came with one).
