Vol. #2 in the second Tom Swift series, which was comprised of 33 volumes written under the pseudonym Victor Appleton II. Originally published in 1954, this book is part of the second Picture Cover series from the 1960s, in the original Blue spine format, not the later Gold spine editions (see our listing # for that edition), with decorative paper over boards, in 208 pages with a plain frontispiece, endpapers, & internal drawings by illustrator Graham Kaye. It is a later printing, listing to book #17 in front matter & #18 on back cover. Condition is Good+: very clean, binding straight & strong, hinges intact, pages creamy white with dust dulling/light soil to outside edges; blue topstain is faded. NO writing/underlining/highlighting. Rubbing to extremities & fairly heavy bumping at corners & both ends of spine are worst flaws. NO DJ, as issued.
