Orig. published in Great Britain in 1923, this is the First American edition from 1951, with the copyright renewed by the author's wife, 29th impression (printing), in 359 pages, with 76 of the author's original black-and-white illustrations throughout the text. Hardcover book is an Ex-Lib copy with the usual markings & card pocket in front matter & stamps to outside page edges. Library binding consisting of deep blue cloth over boards with colorful decoration & lettering to front & spine. Small area on lower spine shows fading where old call number was, which has been carefully removed. Condition is VG: generally quite clean, binding strong & straight, pages creamy white.
