Orig. published in 1934, this is a later edition reissued by the original British publishers after the copyright was renewed in 1961; this is a Book Club Edition (BCE) facsimile of that edition. Hardcover book has ivory cloth-covered boards with gilt embossing to front, lettering to spine, & a quarter red cloth-wrapped spine. Condition is VG+, marred only by light foxing to all outside page edges & slight darkening/light soil to upper extremities. Else, completely clean inside, binding strong & straight, pages creamy white. NO writing, underlining, highlighting; not ex-lib.
