Would go on to become a Newbery Honor book (this was too early an edition to have the silver seal). First published in 1976, this is the Third Printing of that FIRST EDITION from 1977. With light blue cloth-covered boards & silver lettering to spine. Condition is Near Fine: very clean & bright, binding strong & straight, pages white with mild foxing to fore edge. Old gift inscription to half title page. Only other flaw is rubbing to extremities. The unclipped DJ is downgraded to VG+ due to some rubbing with a chip to head of spine & a few other tiny chips to same top edges, short tear with creasing to bottom edge of back cover; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover Free.
