Long out-of-print, this has long been the definitive book on the case of Alice Crimmins, the attractive cocktail waitress in Queens (New York City) whose two children were kidnapped & murdered in 1965. She was vilified on the basis of her lifestyle, which didn't fit that of a "proper wife & mother" in the early 1960s. Very well-written by a reporter for the New York Post & Newsday, in 270 pages + 8 pages of real black-and-white photos in center. From the collection of one true-crime enthusiast (with their name label on ffep), this is a Book Club Edition (BCE) of the First Edition from 1975. With olive green cloth-covered boards lettered in light blue to front & spine, the hardcover book is in Near Fine condition: completely clean, binding strong & straight, pages slightly off-white & unmarked. Very mild corner bumping. The unclipped DJ is VG, with mild edgewear & rubbing to extremities, but no fading; protected in new mylar cover Free! Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same day shipping on all orders received Weekdays by 2 pm (Pacific time); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day.
