A FIRST EDITION, First Printing, SIGNED in ink by AUTHOR with "Aloha," 1946, & a doodle at top of his photograph facing full title page, with 2 more facsimile signatures & doodles on dedication & last pages (these appear in all copies of this book). With blue cloth-covered boards & bright gilt embossing to entire front board, allowing the title to shop through in blue, this hardcover is in VG+ condition: very clean, binding strong & straight, hinges intact. Pages creamy white with a whisper of tanning. Former owner's first name in small pen to ffep, else unmarked. Slight fading to top edges & spine (most noticeable on rear board). No DJ (missing).
