Unlike his other volumes of poetry, this is a larger, thicker collection, in 303 pages with lovely woodcut illustrations by the author throughout the text + a duotone photographic frontispiece of "Blue Lagoon" by Max Long of Honolulu. With gray cloth-covered boards stamped with black hula girl design & lettering to front & spine, this hardcover octavo (6.5" x 9.25") is in VG condition: very clean, binding secure, but slight rightward lean. Pages creamy white with light tanning to edges, heavier to endpapers; no foxing. Former owner's name & address in pen twice to ffep; NO other writing/highlighting/underlining; not ex-lib. Mild rubbing to extremities, heavier at both end of spine. The price-clipped DJ is VG-/Good+: colorful & bright with light soil & a few large chips; looks lovely protected in new mylar cover!
