Dedicated to "physicians' wives in general,'' particularly to children's author, Mrs. Frances Hodgson Burnett, the author aimed to demonstrate the role of the doctor's wife in his "reputation & success,'' functions to which no one had alluded in any priori work on the subject that she consulted. First published in 1894, this is a 1904 printing of that First Edition. Hardcover with green cloth over boards is in Good condition, downgraded from VG solely to external discoloration/color loss/spotting to both boards.
