Book #10 in the 15-book WWII adventure series for boys featuring aviator Dave Dawson. Orig. published in 1943 by Crown, this is a contemporaneous reprint from Saalfied, not a modern reprint. In 252 pages + ad for next title in rear, this 12mo has brown cloth-covered boards lettered & stamped with a black image of Dave & his plane to front/lettering to spine. Condition is VG+: very clean, binding strong & straight, pages heavily tanned (commensurate with wartime paper quality) but unmarked. Rear hinge cracked, mild rubbing to extremities, heavier at top of spine, where the cloth is fraying. NO DJ (missing).
