A FIRST EDITION, first printing, from 1985, SIGNED by the AUTHOR with a personalized inscription ("To Carol with Love, Lorenza, 22-6-'85") to title page. Collection of recipes based on the traditions of Tuscan cooking, particularly from the area of Chianti, using herbs from the garden & products from the farm together with native olive oil. In the Foreword, the author (wife of the owner Piero Stucchi-Prinett, as well as a food editor for Vogue Italia) explains how she selected these recipes for her cooking classes at Coltibuono. A menu from a Graduation Dinner for the class of June 1985 is laid in along with a 8-page paper supplement containing additional recipes. Ring-bound hardcover has quarter tan cloth & tan marbled per over boards. Condition is Fine: just lacks that Brand New crispness & there is a small red smudge to front cover under last word in title. Else, completely clean & bright, binding straight & strong, pages cream colored with tanning to all outer edges. Section dividers on heavier card stock, all pristine. Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same day shipping on all orders received by 2 pm (Pacific time); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day.
