Orig. published by World in 1943, this is the first Forum Books Edition, First Printing, from June 1944 (First, thus). Hardcover small 8vo has deep blue cloth-covered boards lettered & stamped in orange to front & spine. Condition is VG+: very clean, binding strong & straight, hinges intact, pages creamy white & completely unmarked, with mild tanning, darker to edges, with a sprinkling of foxing to fore edge. Modest rubbing to extremities, bumping to both corners & ends of spine. The unclipped DJ is Fair, missing a large chunk out of head of spine & into front title, rubbing & creasing & chipping all over, yet the enchanting cover image designed by Edgard Cirlin is largely intact; now protected in new clear mylar cover Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have.
