Orig. published in 1938, with the Wyeth illustrations added in 1939, this is a newly issued reprint with all the original paintings rephotographed & new plates made such that Wyeth illustrations now grace all endpapers as well as 14 internal full-page, full-color plate, & the DJ. 400 pp. Hardcover 8vo has a light green cloth-wrapped spine with green paper stamped in bright gilt over boards, gilt lettering to spine. Condition is VG+: exceptionally clean & bright inside, with some spots to top outside page edges & fore edge. Binding straight & strong, hinges intact, pages white & unmarked. The unclipped DJ is Good, downgraded to a dampstain to the lower edge of the back cover on the inside only & a 2" tear descending from head of spine & a 1/4" tear descending from top edge of front cover; else, colors bright & very clean.
