The Helpless Doorknob: A Shuffled Story

Set of 20 laminated cards that, when shuffled, tell a story in a multitude of ways, each card featuring the wonderfully droll characters (all with names starting with "A") of Edward Gorey. The set contains a foldover title sheet identifying this as the Fourth Printing of a limited edition set of 500 (this is NOT the later Pomegranate reprint, but the original). It is SIGNED by GOREY on this limitation page. This set has been on my personal shelves since purchased Brand New from Gotham Book Mart in 1989, still sealed with cello tape at sides of box (I opened one side to verify that it was a signed set). As such, it is As New: pristine in an equally fine clear soft plastic case, which show some toning/beginning opacity, but it has been stored in a glass-fronted barrister's bookcase & not exposed to environment elements; nonsmoking household.
