The classic fairy tale retold by Edith Tarcov, with illustrations on every page & both covers by the late, great Edward Gorey. AND it comes with the very scarce original record (size of a 45, but plays at 33 1/3 speed) narrated by Hamid Hamilton Camp & Judy Graubart, in a bright orange sleeve decorated with Gorey art both front & back. A FIRST EDITION, 4th printing, from 1973, the softcover has decorative wrappers & a stapled binding. Condition is Near Fine, despite it being Ex-Lib, with the usual stamps & markings in front matter, all outside page edges, & upper-outer corner of front cover. Binding tight & square, pages moderately tanned but completely supple & unmarked. The record is pristine with a tiny bit of mild, shallow wrinkling to the sleeve's opening edge & library stamp to front. Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same Day Shipping on all orders received by 2 pm Weekdays (Pacific); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day.
