Orig. published in 1941 by Avalon, this is the FIRST AMERICAN EDITION from Biltmore from 1943. Hardcover 8vo (5.75" x 8.5") has red cloth over boards stamped with black lettering to spine. Condition is Fair: downgraded due to heavy exterior rubbing & edgewear, staining, front hinge cracked, binding was cracked & reglued. Light blue scribbling inside back cover, else, pages white, though lightly tanned, & completely unmarked. Some pages show evidence of insect damage (small holes to outer corners; soiled spots to fore edge.
