Book #4 in the 27-book YA series, published 1948-1967, featuring 16-year-old star athlete Bronc Burnett, with "a world of how-to-play tips interwoven with the exciting yarns themselves." Providing "a stadium full of thrills,'' this series was set in Sonora, New Mexico, & offered stories about baseball, football, & scouting, at which Bronc was equally adept. Orig. written in 1950, this is a later (1960's) picture cover edition: same art as the earlier dust-jacked version (see our listing # 022852), & a later printing (listing to BB#15 in front matter& 16 BB titles to back cover). In 183 pages. With decorative paper over boards, red-orange spine, this hardcover 12mo is in VG condition: exceptionally clean & bright, but marred by a 1.75" torn/rubbed area to front cover (like someone tried to remove an old price sticker). Else, pages white & completely unmarked, binding strong & straight. Very slight rubbing to extremities & corner bumping. Our photos depict the EXACT book you will receive from us--never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same Day Shipping on all orders received by 2 pm weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day.
