Lovely children's story about a little girl who enlists the help of a rabbit in coming up with a birthday present for her mother, illustrated by the late, great children's book illustrator Sendak.Hardcover nearly square is an Ex-Lib, with just 2 "discard" stamps to endpapers, but entire ffep has been sliced out (presumably where card pocket was adhered). Condition is nonetheless Good: cloth-covered pictorial boards are somewhat sunned, with very mild corner bumping. Interior is clean & unmarked. Paper residue from old mylar cover stuck to inside covers both front & back. The price-clipped DJ (with same image as boards) is VG-, marred only by 1" tear & slight paper loss to heel of spine & where old call number sticker was removed. Else, bright & colorful with no other wear; nicely protected in brand new clear mylar cover free!
