Orig. published in 1899 as a companion volume to "Dream Days,'' this is a new edition from 1904 that for the first time contains a frontispiece, title page, & 17 internal photogravure plates reproduced from the originals, all with intact tissued guards captioned in red script (First, thus). Cover illustration & endpapers also bear Parrish designs, + 252 roughcut pages + [3] pages of ads for other titles in rear. With olive green cloth-covered boards, brightly stamped with an illustration in green, red, & gilt to front, white title block lettered in red & black to top of front, gilt topstain. Condition is Near Fine: exceptionally clean & bright, mild bumping to corners & spine tips. Pages creamy white with just a whisper of tanning, unmarked save for former owner's name in pen to ffep. Gilt titling to spine & on front cover looks brand new!. Binding strong & straight, hinges intact. A beauty, scarce in such nice condition!
