Orig. published in 1926, with 3 volumes issued simultaneously, this is a later printing, listing to book #5 in front matter & #13 in rear. In 216 pages + 4 pages of lists for other children's series in rear, decorative endpapers, glossy frontispiece by illustrator Walter S. Rogers. Hardcover 12mo has red textured cloth over stamped with black lettering & bucking cowboy & horse design to front/black lettering to spine. Condition is VG: quite clean, binding strong & straight, hinges secure, pages modestly tanned, heavier around edges, but completely unmarked save for former owner's name in pencil inside front cover. Very small, light dampstain to top outer edge of some pages near front of book; unobtrusive. Front cover shows a few light bleached-looking areas, corners crisp. The unclipped DJ is VG-, with some small chips & short tears, rubbing & creasing to extremities, light soil; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover Free!
