Orig. published in 1926, with 3 volumes issued simultaneously, this is a sightly later printing, listing to book #5 in front matter. In 216 pages + 3 pages of lists for other children's series in rear, decorative endpapers, glossy frontispiece by illustrator Walter S. Rogers. Hardcover 12mo has light gray/tan cloth over stamped with darker brown lettering to front/black lettering to spine. Condition is Good: generally quite clean with the occasional spot or smudge, binding secure but somewhat shaky, pages moderately tanned but unmarked. Rear hinge cracked. Mottling to front cover & mild fraying at both ends of spine/corners. Light soil to external page edges. No DJ (missing).
