Tait, this is the true FIRST EDITION (Third Printing) in English from Viking from 1928. in 386 pages with photographic frontispiece + 90 photographic illustrations throughout text. Small quarto (6.5" x 9.50") has brick red cloth-covered boards with blindstamped design around edges of front, stamped with gilt lettering to front & spine. Condition is VG+: very clean, binding strong & straight. Pages off-white with moderate tanning, heavier to edges, & some off-setting/foxing. Last two pages of Index are uncut; some of the others have deckled edges and/or are slightly shorter (by .25"-.50") at bottom than neighboring pages. Mild corner bumping. NO DJ.
