This is the FIRST EDITION, First Printing, of the new "expanded & revised" edition from 2003, with a new Introduction & Foreword by King himself. In 231 pages, with decorative endpapers & illustrations throughout from long-time collaborator, artist Michael Whelan that first appeared in the limited edition original. With matte black cloth-covered boards stamped with silver lettering to front & spine, this hardcover large octavo is in VG+ condition: completely clean & bright, pages white & unmarked save for foxing to top outside page edges. Rear boards show some discoloration & slight color loss, evidence of dampstaining, which shows up as a heavy black stain inside DJ. The DJ (unclipped) shows darkening in save area on back cover, else, nearly flawless, with just a tiny bit of rubbing to upper edges of front cover; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover Free (removed for photos).
