A Near Fine FIRST EDITION, First Printing (Toledano A20a), from 1966 in book form (published the year before in Holiday magazine) of another of Gorey's works issued with a an anagrammed pseudonym. "Mrs. Regera Dowdy" makes a reappearance as translator from the original German of Herr Blutig's most famous work, Der Bose Garten," a story about a mysterious garden in which things go horribly wrong. Slim, unpaginated 24 mo (6" x 5") has light yellow wrappers with elaborate black design & lettering by Gorey to both covers, which have crisp, uncreased corners. Stapled binding, with a tad of rust. Very slight darkening around all exterior edges of both covers. Else, interior pages are white with a hint of tanning, completely unmarked save for 3 initials in pen inside back cover.
