A virtual time capsule back to the life of a homemaker in the 1960s, full of vintage photos & drawings that capture the era throughout the book's 360 pages. In an era when a woman typically did not work outside the home, a large part of her duties as "housewife" was making clothes for the entire family, as well as home goods like curtains & slipcovers. This book was the bible that guided many women through that era. Orig. published in 1961, this is the Second Edition, First Printing, from 1970. In the 5-ring binder style format, with plastic page supporter in center between rings, 19 tabbed index pages separating sections. Condition is stunningly Near Fine: appears never opened or used! Only flaw that keeps it from being Brand New is heavy fading to spine, which carries around the front cover to impact the first few letters in the title. Else, completely clean & bright, all pages white & unmarked, yellow dividers crisp & clean, corners sharp. A vintage beauty in collectible condition. Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same day shipping on all orders received by 2pm weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, weekends, & holidays ship very next business day. SORRY: book is too large for expedited domestic or any international shipping without preapproval of extra postage (at least double per USPS rates).
