Colorful illustrations by the author throughout the nearly 100 pages. A FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1923, this oblong 24mo has blue cloth-covered boards with a brightly colorful front paper pastedown, lettered in black to spine. Condition is VG+: remarkably clean & bright, stitched binding strong & straight, hinges secure. Pages lightly tanned & supple, unmarked save for a 1924 gift inscription in pencil to half-title page. Corners & both ends of spine lightly bumped , foxing to top exterior page edges only. The unclipped DJ (with orig. $1.25 price intact) is Poor, missing a large chunk from front & nearly 1" of lower spine. Modest soil, light rubbing; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover Free (removed for photos).
