Orig. published in 1956, this is a later (1964) printing of that FIRST EDITION still with the original publisher, Whitman (#1586). Small octavo (5.5" x 7.75") has glossy paper-covered boards with a clear, tissue-thin acetate covering, which is peeling in many places. Condition is VG+: exceptionally clean & bright, binding strong & straight, front hinge cracked, rear hinge starting. Pages moderately tanned, heavier around edges, but supple & unmarked. Exterior shows mild rubbing to extremities, a tad heavier at all corners & both ends of spine, with some paper loss here. No DJ, as issued.
