In 436 pages + colophon, with pen-and-ink sketches by Lewis throughout, & an Afterword by Rowland Smith which explains how the book came to be written during Lewis' "exile" in Canada. In decorative light blue wrappers featuring one of Lewis' sketches on front, this octavo is in VG+ condition: minor surface soiling & shelfwear, including rubbing to extremities & lightly curled corners. Binding is straight & strong, spine uncreased; pages slightly off-white & unmarked save for some notes by previous owner to half-title & next-to-final page in rear.
