An Introduction by Martin Gardner & annotations by him in the margins of every page help elucidate Carroll's word play, jokes, puzzles, & somewhat obscure references, bringing the stories to life to modern readers in a way never experienced. Orig. published in 1960, this is the First Edition, a later printing, from Wings Books (First, thus). Quarto (8.5" x 11.25") has quarter cream-colored cloth over boards covered in deep tan-colored cloth, stamped in bright gilt lettering to front/tan to spine.
