A FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1934, of this British mystery author's very first novel. 252 pp. This 12mo (5" x 7.5") has green cloth-covered boards, stamped & rule in black to front & spine. The DJ has been glued to book inside both covers. & has a clear acetate covering which is peeling in places, Small chips at both ends of spine, else colorful & bright with great cover art. Book itself is VG-: quite clean & unmarked save for stamp from Syracuse, NY, bookstore to ffep. Pages heavily tanned, commensurate with age. Binding strong, but with a marked rightward lean; hinges secure. Nice copy of a rather scarce title (OCLC listing only 1 copy in an American copy, 5 internationally; no copies in the trade) by a now-obscure author.
