Orig. published in 1850, this was the poet's first new work following his marriage to Elizabeth Barrett & is seen to reflect her Christian religious beliefs (Wiki). Brown suede-bound 16mo (4" x 6.5") in 64 pages + list of other books in this publisher's series in rear, frontispiece of the author with tissue overlay. No date in book, but this publisher only existed 1909-1932. Christmas inscription in front is dated 1919, so we're going with that. Condition is VG: completely clean & unmarked (save for that gift inscription), glued binding secure, brown silk ribbon page marker secure. Only wear is to the top & bottom edges of both covers, where the cloth has frayed. Small horizontal tear to the front endpaper behind the front die-cut image. A lovely little stocking stuffer! Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same Day Shipping on all orders received by 2 pm Weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day
