Lovely book of classic Christmas stories, songs, & poetry selected by artist Tasha Tudor, who added her charming watercolor illustrations to each one. In 157 pages with illustrations throughout by Tudor. Orig. published in 1966, this is a slightly later printing, but still 1966 (per publisher's code & dated inscription to ffep). The oblong hardcover, a small 4to (11.25" x 8.5") has deep cherry red cloth-covered boards titled in gilt to spine. Condition is Near Fine: completely clean, pages white & unmarked save for the gift inscription, with NO foxing & just a hint of tanning. Binding is tight & square. Mild rubbing to extremities & corner bumping. The unclipped DJ on this copy is Poor, missing large sections with many taped repairs, chips, & tears. Nicely protected in new clear mylar cover.
