This title was a sequel to book #4, "The Wild Warning." Illustrated by Pelagie Doane, famed for her work on the Judy Bolton series; here, she did the glossy frontispiece, endpapers, & DJ cover art. In 215 pages. A true FIRST EDITION, First Printing (lists to self in front matter & front DJ flap, to previous book on back DJ) from 1939, this 12mo (5.25" x 7.5") has dark blue cloth-covered boards with stamped black design & lettering to front & spine. Condition is Near Fine: as bright & clean a copy as we've ever handled! Aside from very slight warping & a tiny ding to the top edge of the rear board, it is in exquisite condition: completely clean & bright, binding tight, both hinges intact.
