Continues the author's charming series of children's books about the little African-American boy Peter, who was first introduced in 1963 in the Caldecott-award-winning, "A Snowy Day," which was the first book that Keats had both written & illustrated. A FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1968 (reinforced library binding with no DJ price), this oblong small 8vo (9.25" x 8.25") has glossy decorative paper over boards with a design matched on the accompanying DJ. Downgraded to Good because it is an EX-LIB copy, with the usual stamps to endpapers, front free endpaper has been cut out (likely where card pocket was). Else, very clean & unmarked, binding strong & straight. The unclipped DJ is Near Fine, having been protected under library mylar. Old library call number partially removed from lower spine. Our photos show the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have on hand. Same day shipping on all orders received by 2 pm weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day.
