A FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1952 by original Dolittle British publisher Frederick A. Stokes, this 12mo (5.25" x 7.5") has soft blue cloth-covered boards, stamped with bright orange design & lettering to front & spine, with a brilliantly colored front paper pastedown. Condition is Near Fine, marred only by slight pushing & light soil to lower spine & extremities. Else, exceptionally clean & bright, binding strong & straight, hinges secure, pages creamy white with a hint of tanning to edges, dust-dulling to exterior top edges of text block. The unclipped DJ (with orig. $2.00 price intact but lined through on front flap) is VG, with overall light dinginess/soil & minor chipping to top edges & all corners; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover free!
