Collection of photographs taken by Forrest as a young man in 1902 when he traveled to the Four Corners region of the American Southwest to document the lives of the Navaho & Southern Ute Indians, many of whom had little previous contact with whites. He would later have a career as a newspaperman & author, but these photos were never published.until now. This FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1970 contains 125 black-and-white throughout the 274 pages, with a text by the author that vividly recounts early Native American life in a Western world that has long vanished. With pale yellow cloth-over-boards stamped with a silvery-black image to front cover/lettering to spine, this 12mo is in Fine condition: appears nearly as crisp as Brand New & is completely clean & unmarked, pages white, binding strong & straight. The clipped DJ is Near fine, with very mild rubbing to extremities & light soil to rear; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover free! Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same Day Shipping on all orders received by 2 pm Weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day
