Orig. issued as a two-volume set with a Grimm volume (please see our listing #024739 for that dual set), this is the Andersen volume ONLY, containing 29 of his tales, translated from the original Danish by Mrs. E. V. Lucas & Mrs. H. B. Paull, with delightful illustrations by noted Polish children's book illustrator Arthur Szyk. In 343 pages with illustrated frontispiece, 9 full-color-full page plates (suitable for framing, if desired), multiple pen-and-ink illustrations throughout text, & full-color endpapers.
